Job Description
Identify the purchasing needs and requirements of each hotel
Establish products’ specifications with the Purchasing Officers and relevant HOD of each hotel
Meet existing suppliers and/or search for additional partners, gain information and knowledge in order to determine product availability, terms of sale and receive competitive quotes
Conduct market surveys and regularly assess existing contracts to ensure offers remain competitive
Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipments in a timely and cost effective way while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications
Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability
Review purchase order claims and contracts for complying with the company policy
Assist with negotiations for global contracts
Establish and monitor a listing of preferred and approved suppliers including:
Supplier name, address, telephone numbers, contact person
Terms and conditions
Promotional items, discounts, supports
Assist the properties with their importation needs
Develop and implement purchasing instructions, processes, policies, and procedures throughout the properties
Liaise closely with Accounts Payable of each property to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
Prepare monthly reports including savings achieved in each property
Job requirement
University graduated, At least 5 year experience in the same role
Global perspective of the hotel industry
Project management skills including the ability to set priorities
An experience in purchasing is preferred
Strong negotiations skills
Fluent in both Vietnamese and English, in writing and speaking
Good computer skills (in particular on Excel)
Full commitment to the company standards and values
Good communication skills across functions and countries
