Job Description
Ensure the smooth operation of the finance department.
Maintain and control over income expenses, assets and liabilities of the Resort.
Ensure the successful day to day running of the Department; liaise closely with other Department Heads to ensure accurate financial information is received on a timely basis.
Liaise with other Department Heads regarding their performance against budget and provide them with information and assistance as required.
Review all inventories and verification of extensions.
Monitor of operating department’s compliance to corporate and internal policies and procedures, and to implement new policies and procedures.
Conduct hiring, training and evaluating the performance of accounting staff. Motivating staff and identifying appropriate training courses for staff and suggest ways to improve the resort operations.
Review Profit & Loss report, Balance sheet and other reports that are required by the company owner and management group and submit on a timely basis.
Ensuring all financial transactions is recorded in accordance with accounting principles and Resort policies and procedures.
Produce forecasts and assisting in preparation of fiscal budgets and re-forecasts, strategic plans. Ensure the high control over the budget by working with other Department Heads.
Review the tax declaration (VAT, Corporate income tax, Personal income tax, Special consumption tax and Contractor tax). Exposure initiative to get the most tax benefit and compliance with the tax regulation
Work with local government agency (State bank, Tax Department, Cultural Department, Labor Department, Hygiene Inspection Department).
Maintain cash control over receipts, house banks, and bank account reconciliations. Ensuring A/R maintains tight control over average age of debtors.
Review and verifying accounts payable input and output, accounts receivable posting and billing and Manage the cash flow. Arrange the loan and interest payment on due and arrange the short term deposit to get the interest saving from short term surplus fund.
Negotiate the key contracts with the suppliers; implement the discount scheme with the resort suppliers.
Review the food and beverage tender process with Cost Control section to find the good source suppliers.
Job requirement
5 years relevant experience in the same role.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related discipline
Experience in hospitality environment a must
Good organizational, interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with senior management, peers and subordinate staff
Proactive and an ability to work hands-on as required
Knowledge of Vietnam accounting and taxation systems is an added advantage
