Job Description
Key Strategic Implementation
Design SME business model according to specifications and to blueprint key sales processes for managing the business
Successfully roll-out & embed new SME model across the Bank
Deliver relationship banking value proposition to target customer segment
Business Management
Manage achievement of P&L and volume targets of SME business unit
Ensure profitability of business by keeping cost to within budget and maintaining premium pricing, right product and customer composition
Keep loan loss to expected level and ensure no adverse audit or breaches in regulatory compliance.
People Management
Recruit and build a team
Coach and mentor Regional Heads and key sales managers; manage a large SME sales force
Review and manage the performance of sales force and team leaders
Work with stakeholders of end-to-end process to deliver SME banking value proposition to target customer segment
Network Management
Establish presence in all target markets and participate actively in external events to promote brand name
Ensure relationship banking positioning – understand customers’ banking needs and serving them with “One-stop financial solution”
Customer Fulfillment
Build and inculcate a strong customer service culture to serve target customers.
Ensure high customer fulfillment and satisfaction

Overall P&L responsibilities and success for the SME business unit :
Total # of customer
Total loan/deposit balance
P/L (Revenue)
NPL
# of total sales force /retention
Revenue (# of product) per customer
Job requirement
The ideal candidate would be a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years preferably in SME business with a financial institution. While the ideal candidate should be a local, foreigners with experience in an MNC bank will be considered. Those with experience in the Vietnam market will have a definite advantage.
Past successful track record of building and managing a large sales force. Hands-on experience in a new start-up is an obvious advantage.
A strong grasp of English both written and spoken is a must.
The professional should possess a Bachelor’s degree and relevant post-graduate education from a well-recognized institution.
The professional would possess strong interpersonal skills and would come with a proven track record of building, managing and motivating large teams. He/She would be a good people manager and a team-oriented individual.
A commercially savvy individual with an entrepreneurial flair and strong calculated risk-taking approach, balanced with the acumen of a disciplined business manager. He/She would possess the ability to think “out-of-the-box” in identifying and leveraging business opportunities beyond the conventional banking platform.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
A strong communicator with excellent written and presentation skills.
