Job Description
Provide overall leadership for the organization’s audit function :
Develop annual audit plan and submit for review and approval.
Implement annual audit plan as approved including where appropriate any special tasks or projects as requested by the management or Audit Committee.
Spearhead all initiatives pertaining to audit controls and corporate governance for the bank and oversee and provide guidance for the audit team in the day-to-day operations.
Provide advice and assist other functions on emerging audit related issues.
Support M&A projects as and when required.
Provide leadership in people management for the finance function :
Identify critical talent and succession gaps in the function and develop appropriate plans/strategies to ensure continuity.
Job requirement
The successful candidate is expected to have the relevant professional qualifications or equivalent affiliation with an internationally recognized body. He would also possess a tertiary education from a recognized institution.
The professional should have substantial experience in a role in a progressive, international financial institution of which at least 5 years must be with one of the big 4 accounting firm. While the ideal candidate should be a local, foreigners currently working in Vietnam will be considered. Familiarity with the Vietnam audit requirements will be a definite advantage.
A strong grasp of English both written and spoken is a must.
The candidate would be a commercially astute professional with the ability to balance control, governance and business needs.
He/she will also be able to understand and evaluate the key value drivers of the businesses and overall organization.
He would be a credible professional who is able to inspire confidence and respect both internally and externally.
An individual with an inquiring approach and the ability to “ask the right questions”. The professional should be intuitive and decisive with the ability to make accurate judgments.
Ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment; experience in dealing with unsettling business environment and in effecting operational strategies accordingly.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
A self-starter who is energetic and team-oriented in approach.
