Area Sales Manager

Lead motivate and manage the sales team in the assigned area to develop a profitable sales argument in favor of the Company offer and to assist the team in achieving agreed sales results and any other targets within agreed time frames.
Monitor and coach sales personnel in the assigned territory, to identify training and development needs so that any obstacles to achieving agreed targets can be overcome
Collect and feedback to the Sales Director key competitor and market information
Do market research and identify potential customers for existing products as well as new products and take actions to create sales for these potential customers
Propose and initiate steps to rectify any variations against the monthly sales plan so that quarterly sales targets are met.
Develop visit and route plans to ensure that designated potential and existing customers are visited and developed so that individual and Area sales targets are met
Initiate and manage profiling of all customers by the sales team so that opportunities to upgrade or improve product mix are identified and exploited.
Ensure that all company procedures and reporting systems are followed,
Identify ways to improve efficiencies and eliminate waste
Ensure adequate time is allocated to collection and that debtor day targets for each territory are achieved.
Initiate and build relationships at senior level within the brand and contractors in order to build the Company profile at the highest level.
Energetic, enthusiastic and motivated candidates
At least 2 years of experience in the same role in textiles of related industry
