Job Description
• In conjunction with corporate legal counsel, direct all the people functions in accordance with the policies and practices of the company, the ethical and social consciences of business and society and the laws, regulation and administrative rulings of governmental organization and other advisory authorities and organizations. • Ensure the strategic planning necessary to attract, retain and develop the best people talent available and to position the company as the Employer of Choice by being aware of best in class policies, practices and trends. • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the company’s human resource function and performance. • Participate in the development of the company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people and their ability to achieve their goals and the corporate goals. • Translate the Corporate strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. • Develop human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps. • Develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps with the goal of attracting, retaining and developing talent which will include talent management through effective succession planning programs for key contributor and management positions, training and development programs for preparing teammates for more significant responsibilities and general business development programs to enhance teammate knowledge an understanding of the business of the company. • Develop staffing strategies and implement plans and programs to identify qualified talent within and outside the company. • Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company. • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, retention and development of the people resources of the company. • Establish credulity throughout the organization with teammate s in order to be an effective listener and problem-solver of people’s issues. • Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance. • Provide programs which utilize a teammate and company partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the teammates. • Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of people resources of the company, including but not limited to programs for teammate relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, teammates complaints and career development. • Assess continually the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries and markets. • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce human resources policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company. • Provide technical advice and knowledge to others within the Human Resources Department. • Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Human Resources department.
