Job Description
Main responsibilities:
The overall responsibility of Training Manager is to planning, organizing, leading and supervising all training activities for the company. More specifically, at front line, Training Manager is ultimately responsible for the service quality staffs deliver; at back office, Training Manager is responsible for people development as planned.
Identify training needs and develop training plan
Continuously review and upgrade training curriculum based on actual requirements from Operation team
Develop an effective training programs which address the training needs while ensuring optimum cost
Implement training programs
Implement orientation/ training programs for new people to provide fundamental knowledge and attitude
Follow up with Operation team (i.e. Restaurant Managers, Area Managers, Operation Managers, COO) to ensure new people are smoothly integrated into team, trained on the job and sent for re-train and on-going training
Continuously benchmark with other service providers in the industry to upgrade service quality by providing effective training
For people working at back office, training manager is responsible for their development/training plans are implemented as per plan
Appraisal of training effectiveness
Implement post-training evaluation to ensure quality is met and design follow-on training
Coordinate with Operation and relevant departments to get feedbacks on training results
Team development
Develop training team as in their development plan
Own and promote teamwork within training team
Build and upgrade training manuals, training process and other related documents and templates, provide input in standard operational procedures
Ensure training center achieve its target and priorities from time to time
KPI (to be assigned specifically based on Op. target)

% of people achieving their development plan
Manage all training activities within approved budget

Recruitment:
Be responsible for the effective recruitment of staffs at restaurants
Reporting
Be responsible for relevant reports for HR and Operation
KPI
Work out team structure for training team
Work out most effective way to interact with Operation team (procedure, structure, roles)
Work out plan to upgrade training materials
Report on current training system: advantages and disadvantages
Implement successful training courses for restaurant management team (3-5)
Quality:
Critical thinking/ big picture: clear on training and the person’s role
Organizing: team structure, role and interaction with ops
Skill to do training? What are the challenges?
Team management: how to ensure motivation, fairness, priorities of training? (interview the current trainer)
Set priorities and planning: materials upgrade, task allocation, building up team…
Job requirement
Diploma in Training & Development
A minimum of two years of experience in Training field or in tourism/hospitality industry
Good listening skills/ presentation skills/ written skills
Fluent in English and Vietnamese
Ability to use a variety of learning/ training concepts and principles
Proficiency in Ms software (Word/ Excel and Power Point)
